Who are nina and vova?
NinaVova comes from my grandparents’ names – Nina and Vova (Vladimir). I have always admired their love story and I wanted to make this company after them.
As a super small team, we work really well together to design amazing rings, source the best gemstones, create the settings, and complete all of our projects on time.
At first, there was me and the master jeweler, the 3rd generation jewelry master. Then we added a designer, then a 3D model expert. Now we also have someone helping with the website.
It surely is no small task to start every project anew, not just sell existing designs as most other stores do. But my grandparents inspired me to go a different route, just like they did 60 years ago in Soviet Russia.
Now here I am, here we are, creating one-of-a-kind jewelry just like it was done centuries ago.
The magic of a custom piece is undeniable. There is no other like it. Your gemstone is one of a kind. Your story is one of a kind. And frankly the price tag begins to really be in the shadows. Maybe is sounds cheesy, but even the most affordable rings we make have the charm and energy to put a smile on your face every day.
You see, I started this business being already pretty successful with my wedding photography company. I’ve captured over 400 weddings. I have shot at pretty much all Los Angeles wedding venues and a bunch more in the US.
NinaVova, this company, was something that came out of deep reflection about how else I want to make a mark in people’s lives. We may not be the largest jewelry store, but if we can tell your story through the jewelry we make together, that’s all that matters.
If you’re reading this, amazing! Most people don’t. That’s why I made this video telling my story and the story of NinaVova.
Bare with me, English is my second language and sometimes I make mistakes on video.
But I love what I do and I’ll get better at speaking on camera.
For now, enjoy this clip!
